Samsung HT-BD7255 ac3 files

Hi

I own a Samsung HT-BD7255 and i have updated it to the newest firmware recently (2011-06-20). I have a mp4 file whose audion file is in ac3 format which the home theater can't identify. This means that i only get the picture and no sound.
Is there a way to fix this or do i need to convert the file? In that case is there a good free converter out there?

Was the player able to read it before firmware update? You can convert mp4 to mkv format using mkvtoolnix.
