Sansui AU 9900 vintage amplifier

What will be the likely price of Kenwood KA6100 in working condition. Any idea?

The price of kenwood ka 6100 in working condition that has not been restored should be around 12k to 16k. Vintage equipment would require some TLC for proper functioning. Also it would be advisable that only go for vintage amps if you have access to a knowledgeable technician or you have a fair idea how to troubleshoot. These things are around 40 years old and even if it is in working condition, sooner or later you would need to restore it. Keep this point in mind before going in that direction.

My advise would be to read on the vintage amps and finalise a brand and a model you want and wait for it to turn up. Once you lay your hands on it, get it restored and then enjoy it for years to come. Just buying a vintage amp that is available is fraught with problems. You may end up investing some money which may not yield favourable results leading to a bitter experience.

Very true and on point. Most people do not realise the -ve's as they are just swayed by the vintage amps reviews, looks, vu meters etc. Many learn the truth the hard way.

Thanks @kbhuvi and @JayaRaa for your valuable advice. There are some known old technicians sitting idle over tons of wrought CD player, CRT etc. They claim to be enough knowledgeable and they have exhibited their expertise well in repairing of TV only. Do you think these stuffs need hands of specialised guys? Next thing is the spares and cleaning the PCB/ connectors etc. Among the vintage amps, if Kenwood is not that well reviewed brand then I will search for a Sansui amp.

Any technician worth his salt & experience will be able to handle rectification/repairs, provided he has access to the replacement parts. That is equally critical aspect. Old equipment gets accumulated or stacked upto the ceiling at most repair shops precisely due to non availability / access to spare parts.

I agree with @JayaRaa.
The extinct parts are usually transistors (any kind) or relays. For normal repairs such techs are good. You would only need a specialist if you are replacing transistors as you would have to find equivalents. It is a bit tricky as the replacement transistors can make a circuit unstable by oscillation. A specialist can check the reason and transistor behaviour behind such oscillation. With his expertise he can ensure that the replacement parts are within the requisite specification and the circuit is stable under various conditions.
