Seageate FAT+ and Sorround Sound

Hi Guys,

Been some time since I have been facing this issue. Most of the downloaded movies (which are normally HD) though media factory shows their audio as 5.1 channel, for some reason, my FAT+ always plays them in 2.1

When i take the Audio Setup on my Onkyo (Connected to the FAT+ via HDMI) , it says Input : 2.1 Output 5.1 Neo6

Please advise on what could I be doing wrong here?
(The audio output on my FAT+ is set to HDMI RAW)

Please check the audio format. The problem can happen if the audio is in aac format. AVR can't decode 5.1 aac which so is downconverted.

check settings.. its probably set to HDMI 2.1 or somethign or that sort..

should be in audio/video settings.. check audio out..
