selective recordings

Hi,

I do have a Tata Sky HD + connections in which we have the facility of recording programme and watching it thereafter. But I think we don't have the liberty of recording a part section of the programme. Suppose a programme which is of half an hour starts at 7.00 pm and ends at 8.00 pm and we want to record something between 7.15 to 7.25, can we record it ? I doubt it since there is no option. Has any of our friends tried it, if successful please let me know the trick.

Start recording at 7.15 and stop recording at 7.25. That part will be then recorded.

Thanks for the reply, but the data recorded will be of complete half an hour, i.e. 7.00 to 7.30. That is what my query was, how to avoid the unwanted part.

nope.. not possible.. Unless you manually start Rec.

My reply was, in fact, referring to manually recording from 7.15 to 7.25

Change channels just before you want to start recording. This is to erase the buffer. Then go to the channel you want to record, and press the "Record" button. This will start recording. Then press the "Record" button again to stop recording, whenever you want to do so.

I think this should work for what you're trying to do.
