SET MAX HD, Star Movies HD, Star Gold HD Test Started in Tata Sky

Ok it mite be. I have seen Dish Tru HD. But if u compare the SD Boxes even TS+ SD the quality of TS is much better than Dish TV. This mite only be the problem in TS+ HD Boxes.

I can confirm that the SD video & audio quality is virtually same on my 4 year old TS SD box and the TS+HD box.

Thanks a TON for the update Jignesh bhai! I don't understand why are they bothering about launching HD channel of Star One. There is hardly anything to watch on it these days including Star Plus.

Instead, they should have thought of launching Star World in HD.

Also, they should upgrade infrastructure of ESPN and Star Sports to launch in FULL TIME HD.

Strange thing is dat STAR has got permission for STAR World HD as well and NOT STAR ONE HD hyeah:

So you mean to say that permission they have is for Star World HD and instead they are talking of launching Star One HD by possibly taking further permissions?

DUMBEST MOVE I must say if that is what you meant. Even if they DELETE Star One from their portfolio completely, we would not miss anything!

Thats ANOTHER GREAT INFO Jignesh bhai. However I remember seeing a screenshot of Star One HD (I hope I am wrong here).

In that list, I do not see Star Cricket HD, Movies Now SD and HD, Travel XP HD. Should not it contain all the current channels? Or is it outdated?

I certainly hope now (fingers crossed) that their media briefing was erroneous and we should INDEED get Star World HD!!!

Star ONE and Star World sounds similar when we speak, so they might have erred while documenting them in the briefing and hopefully we may indeed get Star World HD

Quite possible and that is exactly what I have been thinking and hoping for.

I can see only SET MAX HD(expected for IPL).what about star HD channels.Can someone confirm the channel numbers on which the testing has started?And what about ESPN HD? Some where i heard the news in this forum itself that its going to be a permanent HD channel.Still its only Event based?

The reason why I asked, is because you stated that "STAR World HD TEST Started in TS". Since you specified 'TS' it led me to actually look for the channel. Of course it was not there.
