Guys Help me! My boss gave me an used Rotel RSP-980 5.1 A/V processor along with power amplifier damn its so heavy. I just have a pair of Polk TSI 300 Florr standing speakers and its impedance is 8 Ohms. But the rotel amp has given input impedance of 47K Ohms & Output Impedance of 500 Ohms. I am totally confused please help me. Can I connect my 8 Ohm speaker on this monster?

its a A/V preamp and not an avr. you will need a 5 channel power amp for it.

thats a 100 watt per channel power amplifier at 8 ohm. without a doubt go ahead and hook up your speakers
