As the title suggests is Q990F at 75k a decent deal end March or should I wait for Q990H to come to a similar price point till Diwali.

Currently using Onkyo HT3300 5.1 {2012} system with S95F Oled 65 inch and hoping for clutter free sound upgrade. Have not demoed the system. Just going the online reviews.

Thanks

Highly confused.

I purchased Q990F two months back though I know Q990H has announced. Usually Samsung doesn't change much. This time, Q990H has vertical center sound which is useful when you have a projector. Samsung may give an option to add additional speakers to Q990H like Sonos. If that's the case and if your room is big, it's worth to wait. I had to increase front stage sound for my 990F to reduce the dominance of surround speakers. it also depends on how close the surrounds to you. Overall I am very happy with the performance for the price. I connected my firestick, Rpi box(for 3d) and projector to Q990F.

Since you already have a 5.1 system you can wait some more time until Samsung releases it's official video of Q990H and decide.

I live in Germany and in a store there was the old Samsung bar with slim subwoofer and the new one with square subwoofer. To me, there is a clear improvement, overall everything sounds very natural in terms of bass on the new version to the extent that I felt they both are from two different price classes. If I have to buy one, I would buy the one with the new subwoofer and it’s the main part of the system that decides it’s theatre feel. The old one is fine, but doesn’t have that room fill feel like the new one. On paper the bar is same, but when we think about this as a system, we cannot use this without the subwoofer.
