Side-by-side Comparison of Audyssey MultEQ XT (Denon X1400H) and MultEQ XT32 (Denon X3400H) on a 7.2 system

This is good post on reddit, which rates good difference between MultiEQ XT and MultiEQ XT32.

Good one.. But he has got Denon x 3400, an open box piece for $320 shipped (Approx 22K INR).. In India, it costs abt 90K.. For 22K, you wouldn't even get an HDMI board for the Denon x 3400 here :p

XT32 is the flagship offering from Audyssey, it has Sub EQ HT feature, which isn't aval on AVR with XT variant..

All rooms would have issues (variation is response) like shown in the above graphs, up to 300/500Hz.. The lowest response in the room will have the highest variation in the graph.. But IMO, If you have a symmetrical room, and if you can position dual subs equidistant from listening position, you can still use an AVR with XT and get good results..

In India, Denon x 1500 is abt 40 ~ 45K and 3500 would be 90 ~ 95K.. 100% jump in price.. If you have a higher budget, then yes an AVR with XT32 is a very good buy.. Else, you are still good with XT..
