anyone made a diy signal generator.. looking for a good working schematic that some one can recommend... lots are there on the net, which one to pick... nothing with exotic/imported/expensive parts, should be locally available... something that can do upto some 20hz-500k/1mhz.. square (ttl), triangle, sinewaves... decent approximation of waveforms, adjustable pulse width is nice to have...

dont want those... some of the waveforms are pretty bad with those.... also dont want my pc connected to circuits under test...

You could build something based on this DDS board AD9850 DDS Signal Generator Module 0-40MHz Sine & Square Wave | eBay
The limitation is, you only get sine/square wave output. Ramp is not available.
