I have just returned from the cinema. In my opinion, this ranks as one of the top Bond movies of all times, not as good as Thunderball or Casino Royale, but up there. The last one was, not to put a fine point on it, was quite silly. Revenge is one of the oldest motive of thriller plots. So without going into spoilers, I will recommend it. Don't go expecting gadgets, women, etc. Go if you like a story.

The producers are not going to listen to ANYONE, including poor Daniel Craig. He will be made to act in the next few James Bond movies, even if he has to be dragged kicking and screaming into the sets.

Good news (for at least some of us).

More like laughing all the way to the bank I'm sure... nevermind what he claims in the interviews. Come to think of it... none of his movies outside of the Bond franchise have really hit it... Cowboys & Aliens was terrible, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo was ok but I preferred the original, Defiance was ok, The Golden Compass was a let down and before that... well he was a sidekick to the likes of Angelina Jolie and Nicole Kidman.

Maybe he should stop complaining and just play Bond and milk it for all its worth!

Never heard of it... and Box Office Mojo tells me it made $11 million worldwide so pretty much sure not many have heard of it. But that's my point... he owes all his success to the Bond franchise and then wants to crib about it (biting the hand that feeds you isn't smart).

Not disputing his acting abilities.... just that he is the best Bond right now and he should stop cribbing and get on with the job.

The papers said that Craig Daniel has been given 31 million pounds (IIRC) to star in the next two Bond movies.

i think James Bond may be getting too old for this kind of stuff but as i watched daniel craig nail all the stunts while looking more stylish than ever it was clear that the Bond franchise has never been fresher.
