Sony DAV-IS10

I am currently in US. Saw a great deal($300) on Sony DAV-IS10. The same model in India costs Rs. 39,990/-. I am planning buy and bring that to India.

But obvious issues are:
1. Power requirement is 110v, which needs converter. (not a big issue)
2. NTSC region 1 DVD player
3. HDMI 1080i upscaling (out) (Vs 1080p upscaling)
4. No HDMI in

I am trying to weighing of buying in US Vs buying in India for use in India.

Various forms I looked at, have a very good review (9+ out of 10).

Any suggestions on possibility of NTSC to NTSC/PAL conversion or any other good home theater models for use in India.

Your suggestion is appreciated.

Try checking if region free unlocking is possible or not. That would be important. I have a 2 year old Sony DVP-NS50P that is from the United States and I am still trying to make it region free, but to no avail. Some models cracks/hacks are not available at all.
