Soundbar for below 30k

I'm interested in getting a Soundbar or a speaker for workplace. Mostly for mood setting background ambient/soft instrumental music.

Anything below 10k would be great. However, I can stretch it to 30K for really deserving piece of gear.

Source is an iPod Touch. It would be good to have Wifi, USB or bluetooth connectivity. I intend to stream from Apple Music. The bit rate is low; so I don't need an audiophile class speaker.

One of my friends mentioned about Logitech X300. I've also read about KEF Muo. Any other recommendations would be helpful. (One constraint is availability for audition in Bangalore).

Check out a few Yamaha's. I would on the contrary suggest the Bose soundlink and the likes from Denon and others. Compact and excellent for the purpose you are looking at.

You could pair up any 2.1 speaker system such as Panasonic HT20, Sony SRS-D9 or Logitech Z-623 2.1 THX-Certified. Either of these pairings would keep you within your budget of 10k. With an iPod you have access to wifi as well as Bluetooth.

You could team up Powered Studio Monitors with this adapter or even have a pair of bookshelf speakers connected to a stereo amp. Lots of options to choose from.

I recently bought an iGo SB300 well under your budget. Its very good value for money. Built like a tank and sounds good too.

Check out the Samsung Soundbar which is wireless within 20k officially (J450), it sounds good for music and movies.....works like a charm.....i am sure with hard bargaining with dealers, you could possibly get it for 17-18k.....

I agree. I too am looking for a soundbar for the TV. Have auditioned the Cinema 350 and loved it. Hear good things about Phillips too. Even the non Fidelio HTL6140.

Since you can stretch your budget, I would suggest the newly introduced Bose Solo 5 Soundbar for Rs.22,000/-. Bought this a couple of weeks ago and the sound quality is superb, far better than Sound Link Mini.

It has Bluetooth and also has Optical, Co-Axial & 3.5 mm Aux Inputs. Wall mounting brackets are sold separately.

Unfortunately, in Mumbai none of the Bose stores or Croma had this on display/demo and I had a gut feeling that this would sound good since I didn't want a Sub.. Trust me, I am really happy with the purchase as it is very compact against the much much bigger Yamahas.

Try with some JBL range such as SB-350 or SB-400. I am using JBL Soundbase 2.2 it's a great little compact system.
