Hi all, I am looking for decent speakers for my Onkyo 3300. I am carefully going through all the threads on this particular topic but couldn't get the reasonably convincing solution.
One more thing I've read and also heard that off late Sony is not manufacturing good quality Hi-fi systems. I had Sony GRX-9000 since 2000 and I really liked the sound quality, clarity and decided that I'll not part with those speakers (if not the whole system) in my life. Now as I have given that system to my sister in Bangalore and then bought the Onkyo, I miss my Sony for music. I am seriously planning to get those speakers back from Bangalore and try to pair them with the Onkyo before I invest further. So my questions are,
1. Since when Sony stopped making good quality (audiophile) speakers. Not exact date, but a reasonable estimate will do.
2. Has anybody listened the GRX 9000 system, if yes, their input regarding quality and opinion regarding pairing with Onkyo. If I remember correctly, they were 3200 Watts PMPO. Only two speakers, no surround or Sub-woofer, etc, extra.
3. One forum member is offering Norge Millenium speakers and another Yamaha 8900, any suggestions on them for pairing with Onkyo-3300.
