Hi Audiophile Guy's !

I have a silly problem of Sub woofer switching off issue !!

I use sub for stereo (Some may hate it also ! as they don't like sub in stereo !) .Stereo integrated power out i have connected to floor standing speaker and per out to b&w SW610 . As floor speaker, sub and amps all are taking power over 200 W, i have provided supply common to speaker and sub and separate supply for amp.

Now if i switch off amp first (after listening for sometime), woofer makes a big doom !!!!!!!!! sound(irritating !) . But if it remain idle for long time (power on ) same sound do not come.

if i switch of all three(speaker, sub & amp) simultaneously then also i get that sound.finally i observe that first speaker, next amps switch off makes no sound.but i make mistake sometime in sequence and it creates that bad sound. Is this sound is normal , or there is some problem in my connection ??
Till yesterday ,i i did not care that sound ,but now my 7 months old sweet hart is coming with her mother(my wife) to rule my home! In night i cannot afford to make such sound nuisance !

I need your help to get permanent solution!!!!!!

Hi

I just downloaded the Subwoofer manual and although it is a 104 pager, you need to only see around the first 8-10 pages to understand if you have done the correct connections. The B&W sub is a performer and has ample settings to get the best from it.

The most important thing is that you need to turn the volume completely down for the AMP and then switch it off. The same would apply when turning it on.

If you have never faced this issue in the past, check the wires / connections again. Re connect again if required.

Would highly recommend to read carefully the 10 pages of the manual which will resolve both the issues.
