Hi,

My room size is 15*10. Budget is 40-50k. Reason for upgrading to get extra punch of bass which my current woofer offer only 100 watts power.

Srikar.

Hi Sameuun,

Today I will get installed my RTI A5. What you said is right, RTI a5 has itself got good bass. Earlier when I am using only a pair of polk shelves, I felt a sub like dsw pro 550 needs to be added. Today upon installation in the evening and after hearing the 5.1 setup I need to decide accordingly. The thing is that after two months of purchase of polk psw 110, the shopkeeper is providing an exchange offering to upgrade as he wants to sell my current sub 110 to another customer. Now this exchange offer is tempting me towards dsw pro 550 or another sub within 30-50k

Then why not try out the subwoofer for a few weeks since you have already got it. If you feel that you need to upgrade then only go ahead with the upgrade. I think you should keep the subwoofer playing for at least a week before swapping it for some other

Hi rayvonnee,

You are right. PSW 110 rocks. RTI A5 compensates it very well. For my apartment it suited fine as no complaints from the neighbours till now. Enjoying my polk setup.

I have media player. Can you suggest me good bluray player? Does sony BDP wins over Pioneer?

I dont have sony but earlier i had LG super slim model and using.pioneer

To comment on above, built quality is def gud in pioneer but i feel disc loading.time is much lesser in LG

Recently I have got this Pioneer BDP 170 which really sounds well and supports FLAC, APE formats also. I really like the output.

@srikar2011 have you decided on the bluray player? If not you can come to my place to check the Pioneer BDP as you stays near by :)

I too have the pioneer bdp 170 and i can say that it's A perfect bluray player. If you want it to perform like a media player then its not that very great. There are many bluray players which will give you good bluray as well as online content and media playing capabilities. One such player is the samsung bd-h6500. However cannot really comment on the build of it. If you want a bluray for just playing blurays look no further than pioneer bdp 170. You should get it less than 11.5k. I got mine for 10500/- from fairdeal electronics in crawford market. Enjoy your experience with polk:clapping:

I may be late. Apologies ! If your budget was 40-50 and looking for extra bass i would have suggested SVS PB1000. Mine i have upgraded from PSW125 to PB1000. Its really worth for the money.
