subwoofer suggestions

Im planning to buy a KEF 5.1 but Im not comfortable with their 10 (max size) subwoofer. I will be using a DEVON AVR and would like to have suggestions on a suitable SW that can go well with the KEF. My budget is about 40K-50K. Thanks.

A simple google search would provide you details of the 10 best subwoofers, which you can choose from and decide depending on size and budget...the key thing is to match the frequencies with the KEFs....there is no point in getting a sub which would produce the same low frequencies like the KEFs 5.0. Ported Subwoofers are known to provide more better low frequencies.

As for me, I found the Boston Acoustic ASW650 true value for money, for 25k getting a 300w RMS 650w peak 10 inch is good enough.

End of the day, you need to audition and decide for yourself with your kind of music and movie experience.

In first post ( clearly written in English ) the OP DOES NOT want 10 Inch sub.

I would like you to consider the brands like Velodyne, SVS, Paradigm. (Size: 12" and above)
May not sure whether your budget will be sufficient for the above brands.
Could you provide your room size?

I was seriously thinking about upgrading sub and was almost decided on Dali E12F. But after reading the reviews and owners feedback for SVS sub-woofers,
I decided to go for it and shortlisted below

SB1000 & PB1000

SB1000 : 54K

PB1000 : 56.4K from ARN systems Bangalore.

I think both of them should fit for your budget.

SVS recommends PB1000 for movies, coz of its 10" front firing driver and the over-sized 3.5" port

+1 to Rhythmik. That sub is tough to beat at the price. You can import the diy kit.
