suggsion reqired on VFM speaker cable

MX 16 AWG cable at 40/mtr which shop at lammy?

I have no idea about the model of the cable (MX has various types on their website MDR Electronics), I just asked for AWG16.

This is the shop at Lammy, I normally buy all MX products from here. I found this to be cheaper than Champion Rubber Stores which is just 5 mins away. The good part is they have the entire range of MX products here, so you can actually see them before buying. If you buy stuff without bill, it would be cheaper.

Hey how difference will it make if I use 18AWG cable instead of the stock cable that'll come with the Onkyo 3300 HTiB I am gonna buy ?

Does the 16AWG vs 18AWG thing actually make a lot of difference ?

I am getting a good deal on the 18AWG 100ft roll from Acoustic Research.

It does provided the system is up to it. Don't know about Onkyo 3300 HTIB though.

There is 40% SQ difference when you use good cables.I did same with my system.
Secondly signal passes much better in 16awg good cables than stock cables & ultimately reduce some load on AVR.

Guys do you know where i can buy 16 gauge speaker wire in Bangalore at affordable prices?

This for my onkyo 3300 5.1 home theatre

Pro-Fx on MG Road has their own branded cable for Rs 40/m and coxial cable (sub woofer cable) for Rs 60.

Just go for DAC 14 or 16 guage speaker cable @less than 100/- per meter it can sound almost as good as 300/- per meter cables.

Cheers

I shipped to US & it came around Rs.850,I calculated for curiosity on its web & with shipping to India it came around Rs.1500 which is very cheaper than high Q Rs.3000 cables without customs if any.

I am also looking for suggestions for wires to be used for surround speakers for my Onkyo 3300. The wires supplied with the system are not long enough for my speaker setting. I need to run the wire through the walls an door arches so each speaker will require around 45-50 feet of wire from AVR.

Is this much long wire suggested considering that 3300 is an entry level AVR. The physical distance b/w the AVR (or front speakers) and surround is going to be around 20 feet only though.

BTW, what is the Gauge rating for the wires supplied with the system ? I am planning to use the supplied wires only for the central, front left/right speakers.. only the rear is problem due to the length..

Also where can I procure the wires in Pune and what is the approximate cost for different brands available market.. on a tight budget :)...
Kindly suggest..

Cheers

That length fine. It won't be a problem.

There is a shop in electronic galli in Budhwar Peth, who deals in A/V cables. It costs Rs.6/- per meter.

Thanks.. do you know what AWG rating these wires have. looking at the price, these seem to be ery basic one ? Will i have to compromise with the sound quality ..

BTW, what is the AWG rating for the wires supplied with the system.. could not find that in the manual
