My intention in starting this thread is to explore more about Synergy type horn speakers.
I like to know more about technical aspects involved and listening experiences of people.
The most famous example of this type of speaker is the Danley SH50. (https://www.danleysoundlabs.com/products/sh50/)
My understanding about these types of speakers is very limited.
As far as I understand, the idea is to create a point source type behavior.
Over the years, many DIY versions with great results have been made. A few examples being:
and many others.
Please do contribute if you have any experience with these types of speakers

I have heard the Danley SH50. They are great sounding speakers. I don’t understand the technical aspects but they sure sound good. It’s more of a pro speaker but I know people in US who have it in their homes. At one point I was considering it but somewhere along the line dropped it, more for aesthetic reasons. If I had a dedicated room, I would definitely have bought them.

Perfect for audiophiles wanting both excellent music quality and flexible operation.
