Can you guys help me decide which is a better package between Taga 606Se and Wharfedale crystal 3?
I am getting both for the same price. Taga FS are three way where as Crystal is only 2 way. I hear Warfedale has better sound clarity. Please help me decide.

Hi

See the technical specs of both brands and decide based on which brands outputs more frequencies between 20hz - 20khz......more frequencies means more clarity.

Also the SPL levels should be more than 88db which ensures good output even with low power amps etc...

lastly decide basis its appearance and built quality..

Also factor in after sales service + warranty...all the best

ED,
I am also confused between the same package.
But being a complete illiterate in speakers, can you please be in my shoes and tell me which would you pick if you were me? 80% movies. Room size 18 x 12.

Wharfedale is more musical (IMO) when compared with its rivals. So i would pick Wharfedale. As you have heard it sounding good, i think you shall go with Wharfedale. But take your time, listen songs and movies from different genres before purchase.

But Wharfedale crystal 3 FS are 2 way speakers where as Taga 606se FS are three way. Also Taga has 91db compared to 88 of warfedale. So very confused. Also I dont have the luxury to audition any of these in my town. Can only go by reviews and advices.

Hi,

Based on specs, I would choose taga because:

Wharfedale performs between 45hz -24khz while Taga works between 36hz - 25khz.

Secondly, sensitivity is 91db when compared to wharedale's 88db which means good output when connected to low powered amps / avr.

Lastly a Taga will work even with 20w rms @ 6 ohms load...wharfedale needs 25w rms.

Again, see some YouTube videos and read reviews...the cone materials also make a difference....
