Tata sky hd

Hey Guys,


I am new to this forum joined yesterday. I am from Bangalore and I tried to get the Tata Sky HD STB from market yesterday. There is no stock of TS HD in any shop. Since I am existing TS subscriber I called up tata Sky and enquired about the availability of TS HD. They say its not available anywhere. They didn't give any information by when will it be available.

I am wondering how come Tata Sky HD not available any market? Is there any strategy for this non availability??

Read from other forum that TS has temp stopped HD connections. U can get from those dealers who have the boxes left.
 
i was also searching for TATA HD but couldn't find it in my town. One dealer said it will available in December, and it will be relaunched in " NEW WAY "
 
Possible that they are changing the HD STB ?

The performance of the current one is pretty poor, in terms of handling SD content.

Else, they may launch a HD STB with recording facility (like TS+).

Either way, I will be tempted to upgrade, and it will be money down the tubes on what I already spent for the current HD STB.
 
I too got the same explanation from the dealer in Bangalore. He was telling that they will be launching the Tata sky HD with TS+ features. He also told that Tata sky is shifting to a new satellite which will enhance their capacity to add more channels and is supposed to add additional HD channels as well
 
Not getting signal since yesterday morning. Found out that our neighbors also not getting signal. The TS antenna is common in our apartment complex through MDU. On registering a complaint the TS guys said that this is chargeable.

When I have done no tinkering in my setup and this a multiple apartment complex is this not poor customer management ???
 
i got tata sky HD probably the last peice left with the dealer for a premium of 500 extra.

i enquired.. no mroe peices left and yes tats sky is coming up with a tata sky HD + to record as well.. also volume in HD channels is very low..

subtitles are in chinese..

but still better than airtel.. with just one channel and that too is expensive than tata.
 
Have been waiting to move from SD to HD since I use TS+ and HD version was not available - will be good to see when they launch! :)
 
yeah but what if there's such a rush that the waiting period runs into months? The troubling thing is for people who just want simple HD, but not a recorder, will be forced to buy a dvr just to view HD.

It looks like our mails have taken effect. The chinese subtitles are off. Can anybody check DD 5.1
 
Now only if the logo manages to get resized / redesigned

And relocated too - logo positioning should be different for different channels. I am a plasma owner and am concerned about the logo leaving a mark.
 
Guys , TS HS isnt available in Pune ... heard on other forums that they will be launching newer STB , any Idea how long i'll have to wait ??

Contacted the Nodal officer, TS HD is been stopped all over India now, some dealers mite have the boxes left. They will soon be launching new STB within 2 months : Said by Nodal officer
