Do we have any idea about the clarity ???
Yeah. I m getting Onkyo 3500 or denon 1312XP in a week's time.... The customer care ppl promised me that 5.1 will be available if the movie is telecasted in 5.1....Clarity remains the same for HD across all operators. All video is broadcast in 1080i. what does differ is the 5.1 audio support which videocon lacks. If you have a 5.1 home theatre or intend on getting one in the future then definitely you would need 5.1 to enjoy your HD movies.
If 5.1 audio is not of relevance to you, then go ahead with videocon. Also remember 5.1 is dependent on the channel. Not all HD channels are broadcast in 5.1 audio. So think about your priorities and then decide.
