For 'unspecified' reasons the addition of 'Star Movies Select HD' to the TataSky platform has been postponed for now.
Hey Sanjay, Starmovies select HD has started on tatasky.
Could u plz tell me whats the advantage of this one over the regular star movies HD? I am on ala carte option and would subscribe to this only if some benefit like no annoying commercials in it or something like that. Thanks

^OK I didnt realise it was already coming in my ala carte for free.
So everyone, its official, i just confirmed with customer care:
'Star Movies Select HD' is at the moment free for all packages for all HD subscribers. Ofcourse this is for a limited promotional period. The rep had no idea till when thats gonna be.
The only benefit i see for now is only the channel's own promotional ad breaks and no scrollers. No product commercials. So record all u can before it commercialises.
Apparantly i noticed the promotional ads are giving coming soon trailers of almost all oscar winning movies of last year to premiere on this channel Gone girl, Boyhood, theory of everything, Budapest hotel u name it - are all on the list which is pretty good.
It is promoting itself as 365 days 365 new stories channels. I am guessing at the least it means less repeats and more frequent fresh movie additions/premieres.

So I think it means that it is another "premium" channel.
In the last few days that I saw their program guide, I didn't find any interesting movie. Same with HBO Hits and HBO defined.
btw any idea if History TV18 HD is coming anytime soon on TS? Had it in Videocon D2H since a long time.
