After failing to find such kits locally in hyderabad, I had a friend of mine at Bangalore buy them for me from SP road.

There are a quite a few threads looking for such amps/PCBs etc so thought this information would be useful to them.

carbon film resistors or metal film .....?
everywhere audio kits with so called Keltorn capacitors (20 + fakes are there for keltron)are available ... single layer pcb ,exposed copper ,like school projects...initial mutilation can be performed on these in the process of learning DIY . Keep a dustbin ready for disposal.

Initial weekend jobs in steps ..
1) replace these keltrons with BC capacitors ,if u r in delhi take metro to lajpat rai mrkt , u will get originals from BC capacitor shop
2)Add a teddy regulator to power these (whr is it ! ? search)
