tewee 2 anyone??

in my search for a wireless streamer I came across an Indian made device called the tewee 2. Now my main purpose is to stream HD movies stored locally on my laptop. Has anyone used this device?
Another question: Has this device been discontinued? It is not available anywhere online.

I had it and gave it away, if you are imagining it to be at least half as good as roku or Chromecast 1 then you are expecting too much...

Sorry, but that is the state of affairs, the app interface is buggy hangs and freezes a lot, not to discuss the quality of streaming, when it doesn't get a basic working right.
Though the premise is very innovative, promising the app needs lots of testing & tweaking before it should have been released. Probably I'll reconsider it when teewee 5 releases.

( for the record, I have 50mbps connection with WiFi router netgear Nighthawk R 7000 6ft away from the teewee 2)

Get a roku stick instead if your looking something in the same budget as Twee. I primarily use it for watching Netflix and streaming movies from my laptop through Plex app on Roku and it does it with no issues at all. All files are Br-rips in the range of 3-8 GB.

If I'm not mistaken, the roku stick costs over twice as much as the Tewee 2, at least in India. Can the Roku stream local content without active internet?

It has happened to me twice when my internet went off and plex couldn't locate the server but i am sure there must be some settings to tweak to allow it work even when internet isn't active. I also have Tvsersity media server s/w installed on my laptop and apps on roku detects and stream content even when internet is not active.

I too have teewe and seems to be useful only to play youtube and local media. I subscribed for amazon prime video and teewe does not support it
