THE SHINING - STANLEY KUBRICK.
AMELIE.
8 1/2 - FELLENI.
MEMOIRS OF A GEISHA.
NORTH BY NORTHWEST - HITCHCOCK.
SEVEN YEARS IN TIBET.
APOCALYPSE NOW.

i found out that -perfume story of a murderer, the man behind the iron mask ,The good the bad and the ugly and the good the bad and the wierd had great visuals.

Excellent choices thus far. Now here's just a few listings that come to mind

1. Koyaanisqatsi [1982, an 86 min documentary with no dialogues!!]: Godfrey Reggio's debut as a film director and producer, is the first film of the QATSI trilogy. The title is a Hopi Indian word meaning "life out of balance." Created between 1975 and 1982, the film is an apocalyptic vision of the collision of two different worlds -- urban life and technology versus the environment. The haunting musical score was composed by Philip Glass.

2. Roja -1992 by Mani Rathnam

3. BBC - LIFE narrated by David Attenborough [this I consider the most breath taking of them All [esp on blu-ray]

The Scenes of Alaska in "Insomnia" (2002) is breath taking.
Also, the view of the hotel building in a back ground of ice covered peaks in 'The Shining'(1980) is great.

I need different opinions not like the same things I here every day, like psycho (1960) or fight club or godfather. Something different that people dont talk much about.

Elizabeth, 127 Hours, Toy Story 3, Inception, Brokeback Mountain,
Saawariya, Bridge To Terabithia, Dil Se..., Roja, Slumdog Millionaire,
Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, The Kite Runner,
Legends Of The Fall, The Dark Knight, Avatar, Wall-E, Casino Royale

Jurassic Park when it's out on BR should look and sound good - at least the first part.

I believe the hindi movie Blue can be added to this list.

Ratatouille is also a good movie for this category

I like these for aesthetics/cinematography; nice movies too

310 to Yuma
No Country for Old Men
Big Fish
Batman Begins
Godfather II
Kung Fu Panda (I & II)
Finding Nemo
Watchmen
Before Sunset
Underworld (& sequels)

Thanks

May seem ridiculous, I would like to add the Rapuntzel movie, the "Tangled" to this list. Its a 3D movie OK, story is fairy-tale-ish OK...but I never expected such a realistic representation...Great to watch.
