The Chord Company Cable Doctor Nigel Finn Shares His Wealth of Cable Knowledge

Their customers are able to tell difference between burnt in cable and new cables. I can't even tell the difference when interconnects from even different companies are swapped in my system.

Naah! Never could find any difference with the cables. Well, never! But, interconnects were a different story altogether!!! Possibly, weak signals from the source to the amp 'really' ARE affected. Changing interconnects DOES change the sound quality by leaps and bounds. However, it definitely does not mean higher priced interconnects would be better than low-priced ones. Everything here is @ system-match and nothing else.

Let me guess the "Test"...
guys, you just heard the brand new cables... As my assistant replaces them with the BURNT-IN CABLES, Let me suggest that you look out for the DEEPER CLEARER LOWS, the FULLNESS OF THE MIDRANGE and the CLARITY OF THE HIGHS. It will be interesting to know if you hear these things, which have been reported by MANY OF OUR CUSTOMERS. We're ready now... here are the BURNT-IN CABLES, ok?

Yeah... many of their customers hear a difference. Not in a blind test they don't.

I'm 100% confident of this, because if they ever do prove these things in a 100% properly conducted blind test, which none of the professional cynics (Bless their ears) can find any fault with, they will shout that from the rooftops. And we'd better listen too!

No mention of proper testing = it wasn't done.
