Here is the driving direction to reach the venue:

1) CROSS TOLL
- Cross toll on the NH8, keep moving on the highway.
- Stay on & Cross only the first fly-over after Toll.
- Keep Left once you climb down & take the exit-cut which will come before the next Fly-over starts. DONT GO ON THE SECOND FLYOVER.

2) Right-turn from the TRAFFIC SIGNAL, under the flyover.
- Now, you are on the left side of the flyover & have to skip a free u-turn and TURN RIGHT from the TRAFFIC SIGNAL only.
- You will see ABW TOWER to your left side from where u have to turn RIGHT
- REPEAT Dont take the free u-turn, that comes before the traffic signal. Signal may or may not be working.

3) Taken the RIGHT-turn? You shall see a Straight Road
- Keep driving till the ROAD ENDS and TURN RIGHT from this T-point.
this is the road on which MARUTI's factory is & also this leads to FUN&FOOD VILLAGE

4) Taken Right-turn from the road-end (T-point)?
- After you have turned Right, you hare to DRIVE STRAIGHT for 1.5kms
- Cross colorful old temples (on Left side of the road) - keep driving
- Cross Maruti Factory (on Right side of the road) - keep driving
- Cross RESIDENTIAL HIGH-RISE (on Left side of the on the road) - Keep Driving
- Cross the Petrol Pump, immediately after the Residential Complex
- TAKE FIRST LEFT - AFTER PETROL PUMP (you shall also see blue-signboards for PALAM VIHAR at this T-point)

5) Turned LEFT AFTER PETROL PUMP?
- Keep going straight. This is the Palam-Vihar Road, but we are not going there ;).
- Cross the LOCAL MARKETSthat shall come to your right-hand side - keep driving & cross it completely.
- You will see a TALL CEMENT WATER TANK in front of you, to your diagonal Right-hand side? - You better do!
Soon as you reach this water tank & cross it, the ROAD SHALL SLIGHTLY CURVE TO THE RIGHTSIDE.

- SLOW DOWN & watch out for the RIGHT-TURN. (Its a newly made Asphalt road). TAKE THE RIGHT TURN

6) You are now 50mtrs away from the venue!
- Once you've taken the RIGHT-TURN after the water-tank, you shall see homes on both sides.
- Venue is on your RIGHT-HAND SIDE ahead on this road.
- As you slowly drive ahead, you will see - cut/entry to the SERVICE LANE to your RIGHT.
- LEAVE the 1st entry-cut & from the 2nd Entry-cut Turn-RIGHT & immediately enter the GREEN-GATE you see on your left in this service lane.

- Keep coming forward in this service lane till you see this -

- Leave your car and the keys with Driver's outside.
They shall assist you with the stuff out for you (if you have any)

Hope that should help! Everyone?

subho,

meet was awesome:yahoo:. i really enjoyed everything. thanks to you and sid.
but still i am waiting for the pics ;) .

vinay

I could not see any pictures in the link provided by you, Santosh, but nevertheless, some description of the meet is there.

I was interested to know about the PMC speakers used in the meet (I saw them in the list produced by subhobh before the meet). I have heard PMC monitors in the past (not in India) and they sounded very very good to my ears: neutral (to the extent possible), transparent and musical. We do not talk at all about these speakers in our forum, and hence my quest. But unfortunately it does not seem like any attendee is going to put up a report in this forum regarding the meet, and specifically the experience with the PMCs at the meet. Yes, there is some brief report in the link provided by you, but I want more details.

As far as I know, among the current PMC speakers the ones ending with the letter "i" is for home use by audiophiles (that is, not for studio etc professional use). My impression is, across the line they are relatively easy to drive (and this is not just because their sensitivities are average to highish).

I like to know who sells them in India and generally the ballpark prices. Who got these to the meet?

Regards.

Hi Asit

AFAIK PMC is distributed in India by Nexus Audio Video, Mumbai. You can contact them at 9819727055

Hey! Asit the contact given by Prem is correct & the persons name is Khusrau Jilla.

The speaker in question as discussed is the the tb2i signature & it costs arnd 1.5-1.6.

Sangram was also there at the meet, i guess talking to him would give you a better idea.

Lemme know if you need more info.
Cheers

True! but the rest of the world pricing is diff from UK pricing. In USA the same is sold for 3000usd.
Cheers

Calm down Asitda some atendee is sure going to pen his experiences of the session over here. Will take a little more time to pen down all experiences. As I see you are intrested in the PMC speakers and I was intrested to know how the Leben of Asit sounds like having read every tidbit about its purchase so here goes ......

Coming to the PMC speakers. We heard it in around 3-4 combinations.
1) Cary 306 >Sherbourn Pre> Sherbourn Power > PMC
2) Cary 306 > Lyrita Integrated > PMC
3) Cary 306 > Leben Integrated > PMC
4) Cary 306 > Holfi Integrated > PMC

Well the Lyrita Amp is a SET amp which is still being designed and using newer tubes and is not in final production therefore had a little hum which is being worked upon by Viren.

Now for the music we heard on the speakers / combos were the following David Roth - Pearl Diver, a peice from Maddona, some santoor music, etc.

We heard the different amps on other speakers too but these speakers could make us feel that the amp is different in the chain in cases where the differences were subtle in some setups. The speakers were easy to drive and all the amps could drive the speaker loud enough in the room. The combo which appealed the most to me was Leben + PMC. Well the tube amps easily outscored the solid state amps in musicality. But special mention is to made of the Holfi integrated (Class A) which could hold its own against the tube amps. The Lyrita though not in its final production phase was quite revealing and bought the musicality and silkiness in the music which is difficult to put into words. I would say that the finish of the speakers are top notch and the design is also T/L design so it can be placed near the walls. As per the dealers the recommended room size is around 200 sq ft + . Another +ve for the speakers is that Mr KJ was willing to arrange an home audition for the speakers for the prospective buyer. In any case Mr Amit (owner of the Leben) was impressed with the speakers over his existing Ushers (though it may be mentioned that the Ushers were also quite good).

As I generally listen to Indian Classical, Old Hindi Films, Regional Folk, and recently started with Western Classical therefore I based my judgement on the santoor peice. The sound was like listening to a live recital. The speakers were very neutral and transparent and never tried to add any colour to the recordings in my opinion. Well all that I have written is my personal opinion regarding the equipment and others may have a differeing view but this how it is. India is a democracy.

Asit, even I am unable to see the pics from my office pc when I tried from home. Using the error message and found the problem/solution here:
Showing unregistered domain instead of imageshack picture? - Yahoo! Answers

As per a new policy by Imageshack, sites hosting pics from Imageshack have to register through link below:

ps: This problem seems to be country specific. I was not getting this error message as I was using my office pc and that is on an australian network. I am also able to see the pics using my phone.

Prem & Neo,
Thanks for sharing the information.

Dillihifi,
You got me right. I am really interested to learn about the impressions on the PMC; to be specific, how the Leben pairs up with these speakers. I guess I want to do some work on the possible speakers that work particularly well with this amp and do not cost a limb or two (as you perhaps know I have very very good but quite old speakers which pair remarkably well with my amp, and my impression is that being a low powered amp the Leben needs to be paired carefully. I did not like its pairing with Harbeth Compact 7's). Anyway, thanks a lot for sharing your impression.

BTW, did you hear any vocal music with the Leben+PMC?

I hope Amit too shares his views.
Regards
