Tube Amp Parts:

Hi all,
I have decided to junk my Cayin MT-12 A tube amp, and use the chassis for a pre-amp or small power amp build.
The tear down may yield in some interesting parts. If anyone interested, i can salvage them and send over to you.
Will list the parts once i disassemble the set... BTW, a remote control and tubes also available.

This was my bedroom setup:

Recently got these 200WPC mono power amp modules, i was already having suitable 42-0-42 @6amps power transformers.
Planning to use the Cayin chassis for the build.



The build:
Existing holes of transformer matching perfectly.


Had to cut open a slot for the module... the caps were a tad big and obtrusive, so changed to smaller... the caps are in parallel:


Hook up was a simple job and done testing:


This is how it looks with the cage on... a pseudo tube amp look alike:




One block complete... cool finished look:

Tried with the newly acquired Dynaco 3X preamp... sounds bright and fabulous.

Second amp also done:
have to make a dummy plate to cover the square transformer holes.





BTW, i junked the Cayin CD player also along withe the tube amps and used the enclosure and toroidal transformer to build a Baxandall tone control / preamp... very nice sounding with loads of gain.
