Turntable mat

Good idea!

BTW, I'm playing the new mat. Sounding good [emoji106]

And the colour nearly matches the colour of my speakers:)

Since it's brand new, it's not totally flat. Tonight I'll place it below the TT's heavy platter to flatten it.

PS: after four tracks, cleaner highs and much better separation is apparent.
Great to hear that.
Sachu also mentioned about better soundstage.

A little roughening of surface of acrylic mat can help by friction so as vinyl doesnot slip. The center weight can be reduced.

The Vinyl as mat is very good idea. Exactly same material the vibrations will pass through easily and will have friction.

Good idea:clapping: I also thought but lps tend to wrap little bit. But the LDs are very strong like CDs but thicker. Sure, you must have seen LDs previously.
Regards.

In fact I believe the mat EMT uses is same material as vinyl. That's what I read somewhere.

Hello all,

I have received request for couple of mats. Let me know if anyone is interested.

Hello all,

Please add required diameter and thickness of mat.

3mm is easily available. Above 3 need to confirm.

If you have a 78 rpm shellac or 10" vinyl EP please try them as mat. I'm currently trying out a 78.

A beautiful, well-constructed speaker with class-leading soundstage, imaging and bass that is fast, deep, and precise.
