Use of speakers Ohms

Greetings!!!
Thanks for my last post. It will be helpful for me.
I have a question. In HTS 5.2 or 7. 2 etc if I use speakers with different ohms like 6ohm 8ohm or 4ohm for LR center and sub. Will it affect amplifier or sound performance.
Or I shud use same ohms for all speakers.
And which ohms r recommended. Pls help me.

Usually HT AVR supports spk imp of 6ohms and above
4 ohms at high volume may result in overloading or trigger protection , depends on how good the build is.
Front L, R should be equally matched, sub can be 6 or 8 Ohms as u can control the sub vol

I have a 5.1 setup with the oberon 1 as fronts & surrounds at 6 ohms & center Oberon Vokal at 4 ohms. With my avr, I have not faced any issues besides a powered sub reduces a lot of load from the avr. Not all the speakers are active at all times & the level of volume you are playing at matters with respect to the load on the avr.
The main ones for a movie are the front's & center, so a decent avr of approx 80 watts all channels driven should handle these varying impedances.

Lower impedance - larger load for the amp, in general

Ohms ratings of the speakers are misleading. Speakers impedance according to the frequency of the sound that’s being presented to it. So it’s generally a range, not a static value. Speaker manufacturers, when they say 8 ohms, it means that the impedance on an average the impedance across tje frequencies can be 8 ohms.


Amps with high current or power rating can handle low impedances. So if your amp has high power output it won’t be an issue to mix different speakers.
