Using Surface Pro 7 or 8 as source

Hello Folks,

Hope you are doing well.

I wish to make a portable and reliable source. So I am thinking about using a Surface pro with Audio-Linux installed along with Roon. Anyone got experience with such a setup and compared it with Roon Nucleus or a Fanless setup with a Linear Power supply ?

Let me know your thoughts on it.
