I have a WD (gen 2) media player, i have to purcahse a disk for it, i just want to know whether 3.5. element which need external power will be compatible with WD media player.

Please help its urgent My Bro is at Nehru place and have to buy it today

I don't think that it would be an issue ..... I have 1 TB portable WD external drive and it works perfectly fine. Tell your bro to tell the shop owner that it the external powered unit does not work then he should replace it with the portable WD external drive

Thanks

Thanks Again

As long as the HDD has an USB connection, a media player can read all HDD, particularly new ones. Some of the media players can also format the drive for you. It is always better to connect the drive to a PC or laptop and format it as an NTFS drive.

Cheers
