Hi

I have a wharfedale Amplifier, since last night it started with the following problem, when I swithc it on, it stays on for about 30 sec and then swithches off with the following displayed on the face - Protecting. What does that mean, and how do I fix it?

Thanks
Nixen

It is going into protection mode. Its a built in system that kicks in (to protect the amp and the attached equipment from catastrophic failure) under various circumstances - generally overheating, amongst others. You will have to take it to the service centre to diagnose the exact problem.

Check if the speaker terminals are shorting. There could be few strands of copper that are touching the body of the amp or shorting the terminals.

Check on the amp and speaker end

For excellent sound that won't break the bank, the 5 Star Award Winning Wharfedale Diamond 12.1 Bookshelf Speakers is the one to consider!
