Hi
After burning my speakers, I did some research to buy new speaker drivers. I though of assembling driver and collected spares i.e. voice coils, spiders, baskets (not yet assembled). While studying, I found that basic 4 key parts are more or less same in all drivers except cone. So curious to know below aspects:
1. What makes some speaker drivers very costly. Price ranges from hundreds to thousands
2. Which things contribute to low distortion, higher sensitivity, and frequency range
3. DIY driver build 6"and 8": any FM tried
4. Are neodymium magnet speakers perform great?
Thanks
