I can't believe my TS is costing me rs 600 a month nowadays ! I have to evaluate what I am getting for that price (sports channels and HD (no movie channels)...and whether it is worth keeping. I wondered if someone can tell me if I can upgrade my HD box to an HD+ box with them or independently in some economical manner?

Next year it will cost me 6400 + 2200. That is nearly 720 per month.

I got annual grand sports package, includes all the movie channels + kids + discovery etc. + all sports (-Ten) that costed me 5400 Rs. + 1200 for the annual HD pack. Comes around 475 Rs. per month. What are you getting extra by paying 600 pm? You have option to select two regional packs in this deal. Most likely not all south channels will be part of this part. But I think its a good deal.

GSAT-10 has been launched on 29 sep 12 and it is going to be operational by Nov. 2012. After that tata sky will add about 100 new channel
Personally I think the TSky logo is the smallest and least intrusive of all the providers...

Doesn't see SD version of MTunes Channel it is coming as HD only
Then how we can access MTUnes? Because as per latest TS policy we can watch the HD of subscribed channels.

To view the HD channels of your package, you need to pay HD Access Fee. Charges for HD Access Fee basis subscription duration: Rs 100 pm/ Rs 600 for 6 months/ Rs 1200 pa.

I don't know how many of you TS users are aware of VideoconD2H, i have got one.
Explore their plans and channels and compare with TS.
there is no fee by D2h for HD channels, i don't know why TS charges it.

Tatasky is recommending separate cables from antenna to each stb, 2 in case of HD+.
In simple words, there should not be any splitter in the path from antenna to stb.
This is difficult for those with common antenna and internal cabling - how are you guys tacking this problem?

My TS HD service was not working due to technical issues from Sunday 2/12/12, lodged a complaint, they raised a work order, now the worst part is - turn around time of technicians is 21:00 hrs, at 22:00 hrs I called up, TS helpline hanged up my frequent calls, today ppl visited my home by 12 pm, with a bag and kit, asked me for some screw drivers and pliers!!!! I told them " ye ghar hain, Garage Nahi, their explanation, hum log Kay Karega, work load jyada hain, this concludes , TS lost its market share and I am sure downward reputation.
