Well bro then u have to decide 2 things
I think you should read and understand a post before commenting. Bro.
Firstly nothing will come uncensored as government does not allow it and its a right thing to do as TV is a public medium.
Eh, I didn't ask for uncensored content. I only highlighted that it's the same censored content which you'd have seen if it was telecasted a few months later on other channel. No idea how you took it to mean I was complaining about this specific channel's censoring or even implying it had to do something with the broadcaster instead of Indian government.
Secondly do u even know how much chs like ESPN HD and STAR cricket HD cost to an dth or cable operator, check the website of star india,
I do. But do you know we're already paying more than any other dth provider? Here, lemme help you...
Tata sky mega pack costs ?6400/year
Dish TV HD royale costs ?6400/year
Videocon equivalent pack costs ?5770/year
And if you go for an even longer duration recharge, the same packs cost 325/pm (5year recharge) for Dish tV and 400/pm (5years recharge) for Videocon compared to 530/pm in tatasky which doesn't even have a discount for longer recharge.
Both dish and Videocon have all the channels tata sky has and includes even more HD and SD channels not available in tata sky. They're paying the same fee to the broadcasters for the channels as tata sky. Actually more than tata sky as they have even more channels to pay for.
So I don't really get what your confusion here. Tata sky customers ARE paying more than others for less content. The least we could expect from them was to stay true to their word and not change the conditions after we bought the mega pack. Sure, charge extra for it when we renew the pack but not before. That's bad faith. Still that's fine with me as it's not totally tata sky's fault.
either be ready to pay moe for good content as in this case STAR premiere is bringing shows just 1 day or few days after US Telecast or be happy with more ads and old content. The so called HBO Defined and hits r ad free but they telecast new movies like The Dark Knight Rises which are 1 year old.
I don't know about you but last I knew, you can't telecast a movie on tv which was released a day ago. Traditionally, first it goes to a theater. Then depending on its success, the DVD and blu rays are launched a few months later. Followed by rentals and finally TV broadcast.
Also, I don't have either of the hbo channels but pretty sure they aren't re-playing the same
15 hour content the whole week. And you can't compare movies to tv shows. Its a different beast altogether. In the end its personal preference though so I can understand if its not value enough for you but it is for me. Especially compared to SWPremier. Please don't force your preference on me the same way I'm not forcing mine on anyone else here. So far I've only posted my opinions without asking or advicing anyone else to change theirs.
U can't blame a dth operator for cost of a channel, blame broadcasters like star who play ads as well as charge a bomb for subscription.
Now if only you'd read my post you'd known I made the same statement already. From my previous post....

But still, tata sky isn't my real concern here. It's not their decision to put this channels in specials category. Its star's decision and that's where my biggest problem lies...
Please read the post before replying. Otherwise don't bother commenting.
In case of STAR World Premiere very few ads will be played that too later as time goes by and as acquiring rights of so many latest shows costs a lot so they are justified to charge a premium cost.
No need to wait. They are already showing ads. Thrice in a 22 minute episode!
As far as justification is concerned, it isn't IMO for the reasons I've already posted twice here. Unless I find a few shows I really HAVE to watch within days of its release, I don't intend to subscribe again next month. You (and any/everyone else) can disagree but please remember to speak for yourself and not for everyone else.
Rs 60 is nothing to what it will cost anyone to download new shows that too illegally
I personally don't support that as an option and definitely not just to save 60 bucks. But wether you do it or not, it doesn't mean you should bend over to these broadcasters either. A fair price for the content is all I'm asking.
But the worst part is, I'd probably still end up subscribing to the channel as 60 bucks a month isn't that much. I burn more than twice that in a day in smokes. It's not going to break mine or anyone else's home budget here. It's the principle and the future which is at question here. Not the mere 60 bucks a month.
