I know. I was very comfortable with logitech revue, excellent PQ, good interface.
Now I am watching through Xbox360 but no super HD, PQ is not good.
Never tried AppleTV. Looking for feed back

I was just watching "Inception" on Movies Now (HD). I am sorry, but I still felt that quality is not up to the mark. Maybe too much compression.

Well I think this movies now hd is total rubbish. Nowhere near to HD . There is something terribly wrong in how this channel is being broadcasted. Let's all send them email and ask for the clarification on the picture quality of movies now hd content.
The quality of sd channels have gone down a lot IMO. They're probably using a very low bitrate for mp4 feed.
Currently using ps3. Getting superhd within two minutes max (and that too with a free DNS server). I too plan to get an Apple TV for Netflix (and other reasons) too but I so far I don't have any personal experience. Was hoping apple will launch an updated version this year. Don't want to buy a two year old one only to see a new one show up in a couple of months.
Probably. Considering how bad the sd channels are (which are not even better than cd quality anymore when they were advertised as DVD quality). A decent 480p video would probably trump some of these "HD" channels!

I Feel there is No true 5.1 sound on Zee hd channels like Z tv or z cinema. Its mono sound that is coming from all 5 channels.

The only thing better in zee network is picture quality which is better than star network. Especially as technobhatt said they do good work in old movies trabsfer to HD. However star network provides true 5.1 for movies in star plus hd as well as star gold hd. So as hopeless it may sound for indian customers, depends on customer preference what he wants in HD better- Audio or video

I completely agree. Yesterday while watching a DVD movie (upscaled by the BDP), the quality felt much better than the broadcast of many/most Tatasky HD channels.

It seems Tata Sky is converting audio on Zee TV HD and Zee Cinema HD from original Stereo 2.0 audio to a virtual 5.1... That's a pathetic part on Tata Sky which I hate the most.
At least Airtel DTH doesn't screw the original audio format on HD channels. Earlier Tata did the same with stereo audio on Star Cricket Hd, but now a days SCH is broadcasting original 5.1 so Airtel also started 5.1.
U r missing the point. I think the bigger question is why is original audio 2.0 ? New movies at the least shd not come in just 2.0 dont u think ?
Even Tatasky Showcase movies are in 2.0 I believe :lol: unless they have changed things recently.

any news of GSAT 10 ?
A guy claiming to be an employee of TS says that ( in another forum) TS got allotment of all 12TPs in GSAT 10 and they don't use it now as the migration is taking place. He also states that they use only 2 TPs out of the 12 in the coming 8-10 months and both the 2 TPs are dedicated to HD channels. Appears to be false.
New satellite means GSAT10 or some other satellite.
Great that in Zee cinema HD, 4:3 old movies (which are not reformattted to 16:9 like amitabh's movies like Deewar) are broadcast in 4:3 only. We see pillar bars on left and right. Not stretched image. Good.
On the downside, the most recent phata poster nnikla hero on Zee Cinema HD does not come in 5.1 audio. Its mostly panned audio and dialogue is also audible from front Left right and center. Why the heck is zee network like this ? Why is original audio 2.0? With its brilliant PQ better than any other HD channel, the hard work put in PQ of oldest movies, If only the audio was true 5.1, Zee Cinema HD could be the best hindi movie HD channel yet.

Dunno, about the new channels, but they have quietly increased the multi room subscription charges for new users that take it up. It is going to cost Rs 200 pm now. For users already on multiroom the older prices will continue as of now.

After few hours of standby I''m unable to access recorded programs or imitate new recording. Following error messages displayed..
"Disk is powering from from energy saving mode.. please wait" I had to restart every time for normal operation. Do anyone experienced this before ? any solution?
