My friend got a very unique speakers. Martin Logan Sequel II, Electrostatic speakers. He paid money believing the seller's word that it was working fine. But he was cheated by the seller. When he connected the speakers only bass sound was coming. After opening the backside, he came to know that network parts were burnt severely. Now woofer section is working. He is looking for the solution. However some engineer do not understand the meaning of electrostatic. Is there anyone who can give us any advice?

What a terrible rip-off, and a terrible disappointment. I'm guessing that a substantial amount of money must have been involved.

Hope your friend manages to get this fixed, at reasonable cost, and is able to enjoy these speakers for a long time after.
