Hello members..previously I have mind of buying pioneer bs22 but later I saw it need at least 2 ft distance from rear wall which seems to be a problem in my room..so I decided to take a look at these wharfedale 220s..any other suggestion outperforming it is highly appreciable..price range 20k

Hi

The least you should do is check and audition speakers which are within your budget. Also you need to factor the AVR / AMP handling of the intended speaker....distance from listening area etc.

If budget is a challenge, check the For Sale by Owner or Hi Fi Ads...

Do try to audition various speakers. They all need some space around them. I have heard from some owners that wharfedale 220 even though having their port facing down, also sound best when given some space around them and placed over speaker stands.

Enjoy this moment by listening to various speakers in the market and picking the one sounding best to you.

going by reputation alone, the wharfedales are definitely better than the pioneers. you can also look at tannoy and quads. though im not a bose fan, the bose 301 is a good speaker as well.
