Was wondering if instead of buying the regular PC Display I could get a regular LCD/LED TV and use it as a PC Monitor via HDMI as that would workout a lot cheaper and I could get a 32 inch display for about 25-30k, need some advise on this if its a good idea and if yes then which models/brands are recommended for the same.

I won't recommend a hdtv as a pc monitor mainly because of resolution conflicts. My panasonic didn't support the resolution at which windows xp installation starts. Result: i can't install xp using this monitor. Secondly working at close distance with a 32" is really irritating. If you do need a tv monitor then benq has some in 22"-24" range.

Yep, I would agree with baiju on that. Much better to get one if the dell leds in 20-24" or benq g2200 etc
