you could wait for the himedia HD900D, which would *probably* be released in feb, and would come bundled with a BD-drive. otherwise if using a DVD-drive is your requirement (and not a BD-drive), then himedia HD900B could also accomplish this task.

seems good, does it do 3D ? the best thing is it had jukebox built in which makes browsing ur movies a fun experience
how much INR its costing ?

could you pls let us know how much is it going to cost you in INR, and by what mode do you plan to get it ? last time (a month back) one of our members here happened to write to syabas about this model regarding availability and delivery, and got a reply stating that it will be only jan-end or feb by when they would be able to dispatch it for india, as they are still coping up with pending orders of A-210.
would be glad if you could elaborate a bit.

I feel PORTABLE SCREEN DVD PLAYER would be best solution as u can carry it outside too it has built in speakers and 270 degrees rotating screen available on net from Rs 1600
i doubt that with hdmi1.3 it will not support frame sequential 3d, so limited in upgradability

Initially I also thought who is gonna use 3D TVs and contents are rare but read quite a lot of threads here that people actually buy a TV just for 3D and if we read and understand their views it like 3D TVs and contents are the future after bluray HD, which has changed my perspective as well on 3D supported devices (AVRs, TV, Media players, Bluray Players etc)
and if one is buying any player one must look for at least few months of future proof (in terms of hardware bcoz software/firmware can be upgraded) and HDMI technology works on certain technology and standards like HDMI 1.4 is needed for 3D streaming.
having said that if one doesn't have a 3D TV now then fine get any player which does not support it.
Its personal choice anyways buddy, there is nothing like finding issues on any product here, its a forum where people share things from which all will be benefited.. isn't it

Check out if you can Get the ZOTAC ZBOX ID36 Blu-ray 3D PLUS [ZBOX-ID36BR3D-PLUS-U] ... Chek out this link : ZOTAC ZBOX ID36 Blu-ray 3D PLUS [ZBOX-ID36BR3D-PLUS-U] . I think It can be procured from Lynx India.. Pricing should be around 20-25 k... Any reviews on this or anybody in the forum using this..
I remember many users posting their bad experience stories with lynx india, there are many authorized dealers for zotac products if you locate .

This thing is based on ION which does not bitstream HD audio. I'd not touch it with a bargepole.

Thanks for this Fact..!! I was not aware that ION does not bitstream HD Audio.. You Mean...It will not send DTS or Dloby signals via HDMI to the AVR
If so,
Then what sense does thus buying these Zotacs makes ..

But I hav read somewhere that it can send LPCM audio to the AVR..
Is LPCM better or direct Bitstreaming better... Please detail on these 2..
