Will this agreement with ASEAN reduce hifi prices?

IT is out of the deal. We will be just buyers, and not sellers. Industries will be wiped out in India. Because of no protection left and in general poorer quality than mnc mass market electronics companies of the world having manufacturing hubs in these countries. Such companies must be a major force behind this deal - why should they set a plant in India when they already have it in these countries? No one is interested in promoting Indian industries.

we already have FTA with most countries we trade with....
the idea is to promote exports as well as develop necesasary competition for indian companies to develop...under swaraj these indian companies trade in the safe haven of domestic market without having an technological advancement necessary to take on the world market....remember that these successful SE asian countries did not adopt to swaraj to have such global enterprises...and our country had this 5 plus percent growth only after having a liberal economy..

we already have an FTA with Thailand, don't think it's made any difference to Thailand made LCD TVs. So let's not be too optimistic.
