Window AC

Guys,

Have gone through multiple threads on A/C's and most of them talk about split A/C's. I am in the market for window one as I already have one (LG 1.5T) for the last 10 years. Power consumption is huge. Do window ones have inverter technology ? What would be a good recommendation considering chennai weather .

I didnt find inverter tech for window ac.

Best I could find was Hitachi 5 star.

One feature I liked was in O'General window ac. It can take fresh air from outside, like car ac.

Nop....inverter tech is only for Split AC...no window. So if u really want bills to come down considerably...then u have to get inveter only. No 5 star will considerably get the ebills down....its negligible n is complete BS acoridng to me. What I mean is u can easily go for 3 star over 5 n save sum cash or straight go for inverter tech.
