Hi

The Yamaha 105 is not happening...recently my friend wanted a soundbar and we auditioned the same at a dealer....infact a Samsumg soundbar sounded so great....i recommended him to buy it.....music was perfect....and movies great!

Samsung HW-J450 Soundbar Black | Black Samsung Soundbar

JBL may be much better but it is better to go audition where possible and decide for yourself

I am looking for a good Soundbar to my living room because of space constraints and considering these two. I would have wanted Philips 5140 but it appears that is not available in India.

Both the above soundbars have very good reviews the only difference being JBL has separate Sub while Yamaha it is integrated.

Cinema SB350 | 2.1 Bluetooth Soundbar with Wireless Subwoofer

YAS-105 - Sound Bars - Audio & Visual - Products - Yamaha United States

Thanks
Sparky

I have not heard these models, however, I heard this philips model and found it to be quite good. You may want to take a look at it.

Philips HTL2163B/12 Bluetooth Soundbar Speaker: Amazon.in: Electronics

Input Options:
  • iPod/iPhone: via 3.5mm Audio In, via bluetooth
  • Rear Connections: Digital coaxial in, Digital optical in, Subwoofer out, AUX in, HDMI 1.4 output (ARC)

The only Con i felt with it was that the Sub Woofer is wired and not wireless. If that is okay with you, do try to audition this one.

Yeah, I have to agree. The Samsung J450 has raked up some pretty good reviews and I will check it out too.
The Philips Fidelio models are good but higher in the price range but their lower end models may not be that good is what I heard.

Any Idea of a place where I can audition most of these brands?

Thanks

Hi

I have not heard the Philips so please check that model too....

I can vouch for the Samsung as my friend is a happy customer.....even i too like the performance although i would not want a soundbar as my Marantz takes care of any such requirements...

Audition all brands and models, carry your kind of music....the speakers which can output clear sound from rock or songs which have all the frequencies will be a clear winner......decide wisely and purchase

Reliance Digital, Croma, Vijay Sales, E Zone etc would be the places to go and demo....then you go to your HT dealers and bargain for the shortlisted brand or model..all the best

For excellent sound that won't break the bank, the 5 Star Award Winning Wharfedale Diamond 12.1 Bookshelf Speakers is the one to consider!
