I recently took over my brothers 1990’s hifi gear which includes a Yamaha DSP A2070 which does not have HDMI (obviously). I am currently using Yamaha RX V377 which has my 4K projector and Apple TV connected to it. Question: is it possible to integrate the DSP A2070 into my setup and take advantage of its power. As speaker I gave ELac 214 PI with Denon POA 6600A ( currently not connected as the RX V377 has no pre out)
Would appreciate any suggestions.

My brother gifted me his 1990’s hifi gear which include the 21kg monster DSP A2070

my current gear:
Yamaha RX V377 ( No pre out)
Optoma UHD 65
Apple 4K
Elac 214 PI

i would like to make use of the DSP A2070 and would like to how to best integrate into my current gear.

is it possible to connect the 4K projector directly to the DSP A2070?
or buy a AVR with pre out and use the DSP2070 as amplifier

any suggestions would be appreciated

One of your two devices is not going to be in use. Either the 377 or the 2070. I am assuming your current chain is apple tv->377->optoma and speakers

If you need to use the 2070, you will need to sell the 377 and buy an AVR which has preouts. But not sure if this is worth the investment, unless you are sure that the 2070 adds significant value.

Else. you can use the 2070 as a music setup and continue using 377 as the movie setup.

A beautiful, well-constructed speaker with class-leading soundstage, imaging and bass that is fast, deep, and precise.
