as per discussed in other threads PJs bought frm US do not have warranty in india.
epson tw550 is priced at 58000 min.

wxga is 720p .
i am talking about acer 1320wh available for 34500 inr here in india itself. canceled the plan of getting pj frm us as there will be no warranty.
is it a good deal.
only difference frm 5370bd is contrast (its 3000:1)and 3d (its 3D ready not full 3d.)
i am not much intetested in 3d.

Native Resolution 1280x720 1280x800
Maximum Resolution 1920x1200 1920x1080

16:10 or 800p will not bother much when you are playing 720p or 1080p content. The PJ can be setup at 16:9 as native resolution. Only when the PJ has no signal you will find lighted bands of 40 pixels height on top and bottom.

i think there should not be a problem in displaying 720p content on 800p resolution. and as santy said it can be set to 16:9 res.

today i auditioned benq ms502p (svga proj) and benq mx520(xga) projector in my house.(thanks to the dealer.)
played 720p and 1080p files on it from 9feet distance.projected on off white coloured wall.
did not find much image quality and colour quality difference particularly for 1080p print.
price diff of 16000 between two of them. fantastic brightness even in ambient light without blocking windows. nice colour reproduction.
just wanted to confirm diff betwn svga and xga proj as one my friend is using svga proj for movies to play dvd movies. and he said it projects nice 150 inches image on wall with good brightness.
so was just thinking of getting svga pj for time being as my budget is low, after 3-4 yrs i can go for nice high end pj.
whats ur opinion guyz...

1080p Proj are way too costly. Can't afford one right now.
Is anybody in the forum using SVGA pj for movies?
