I have been waiting all along for a guide like this:

It covers in depth information about setting up a powerful multichannel DSP processor using CamillaDSP running on raspberry Pi along with an audio interface/multichannel DAC.
I have been using CamillaDSP on Moode for sometime for custom EQing etc and have found it to be a very useful solution.
With the kind of solution provided in the above thread, a full multichannel DSP crossover with a lot of flexibility can be made easily.
I feel that it is very exciting. Hope someone else also finds it useful.
