Just come back from Hypercity and saw Amkette Flash TV HD . . Impressed with Performance watching some HD contents for more info visit Amkette Digital Life Redefined . if any one is using the same please post review and comparison.. Does it play FLAC files?

Though the product website specs does not mention FLAC, the Thinkdigit review claims it does.

Can anyone confirm?

Yes even i am also little bit confused , if this device play FLAC than it's a bingo..

it's basically on on F10 chipset.. it's a Chinese solution.. go for some realtek or sigma chipset models.. there would be much better & will be satisfied with these solutions..

Can someone throw some light on Amkette EVO TV? How does it compare with WD , Asus , D link and other models ? Has any one practical experience with EVO TV ? What will be the best bargain price for it ?

I got it recently and so far it's been great. Only problem I had that I wasn't able to get surround sound from HD .mov trailers and MP4 which is a very common format these days


No problem with other formats though, plays as smooth as butter!

I just checked and doesn't support Dolby TrueHD and AAC 5.1 though mentioned on the specifications. Sucks!

Did you get any response on this in any other thread.. I liked the airmouse feature in this.. but we need to hear it from the users who have experienced it s effectivenss.

BTW There are many others in the market close to this price range - Dune seems to be a good one. What chipset the evo uses, whether it support BD menus, performance, streaming, etc Do look at Popcorn hour, himedia
