Any one with Def-Tech Sub in Delhi NCR??

Hi friends,

I have made my friend (new to HIFI) zeroed down to following ...

1. Dali Concept 6 for Fronts and Center
2. Qaccoustics for Rear
4. DENON 1611

Now we need a powerful Subwoofer, and when I say powerful I mean really powerful, where in the window panes should shatter and the bed should dance... We have auditioned almost every brand from Wharfs, Dali, Polk, to Canton, Qaccoustics, etc, but none has impressed us. We are looking forward to Def tech now, but we can not find any dealer who can give us a decent audition for the woofer, so my request is if some ones own a Def tech Sub in Delhi NCR who can give us a small audition so that we can decide the sub as well, we would highly be obliged. Else suggest any other brand which we can audition in Delhi

BTW budget for SUB is 35-40K.

I guess I am talking to the same guy in PM - the prosub 1000 or the velodyne cht should be good choices. Isnt Lakozy the dealer of Deftech, so wouldnt they have in their Delhi showroom?

You are right sud! I am the same guy..

Ashish doesnt have prosub1000. Ee checked there already...

I can go for super cube iii but i dont want to just waste money cuz it will be an overkill. The problem is, deftech has radiator technology i dont know if it is different from other. And if it is different then whether i will like it or not, i can only say after auditioning it.

Well we finally went for Pro Sub 1000, hope we like it, as this is the only HT part that we have bought without auditioning. Ashish did not have any pro sub 1000. @Prash which sid you are talking about ..... ???

Thanks Santhol, subhash I knew had trinity, but as you said he is in bangalore. My audition at Lakozi for the sub did not go well, for what ever reasons, and so we were a bit skeptical, about going for ProSub 1000. However given the circumstance where in no sub was performing per our expectations, we decided to take the risk with Def-Tech, lets see how it goes. The setup should be ready by this weekend if the courier and all reaches in time. Will share a small review for the same once I spend some time with the setup .......

The prices of Dali Concept 6 and Dali Concept Center were 39000 and 11600 respectively. But after the discount and negotiation, i paid 45k for both including installation. Hope i did a good bargain.

Q Acoustics 2010 rears, Deftech prosub 1000, Denon 1611 and Ultralink cables i bought from my close frn who is a dealer in Bangalore. And the prices are classified. Hope you guys can understand.

Just waiting for the couriers to arrive. My special thanks to Sam who was with me in all the auditions. Though we r old colg frns.

Thats his rented flat, the new flat which he would own would have slightly bigger room ...... and the setup is not for quantity, but for quality as well ...... room size might be small for the quantity, but definitely not for the quality we got with this package

It is definitely not quantity that I meant.

This system is far tooooo powerful for this sized room. The sub 'might' make matters more difficult till the time he shifts to larger acco ...

^^ as I said the system should produce quality audio even on low volumes, and thats where this package excels (its obviously is good on high volumes as well) matter would not be difficult as the control on the volume part is in our hands ...... . If it at all does become out of our control, minor acoustics is all what would be needed ...... Like I said......quantity can be controlled, quality can't be.

Hi Sam!!!Just for fun for evening..

If no sub is near about expectation and satisfying, hire an boomer/drummer/kicker separately to bang in the required scenes Will have real time effect.
