replacing a fuse inside the electronics? which is the front and rear side? or

Can we put a fuse in any direction? Please let me know.

Thank you,

No only rated amperes and size (so it fits in tight) is important.

Unless of course if its an 'audiophile' fuse :)

A fuse is generally fitted into a holder. What you should do is to take the burnt fuse to the electronics shop and ask for the exact replacement. Buy a few extra for safety's sake. Many fuses with the same rating come in different sizes.

Once you have the correct replacement, you can fit them either way into the holder.

Remember, when you are doing this, all power connections must be completely OFF. If you are powering down and then starting this work, wait for a few minutes for the capacitors inside to get empty.

Cheers

Hi,

It is also better to check to see why the fuse blew in the first place.

Good one!!

The fuse has to be parallel to the overall direction of the sine waves coming from the wall socket and into you audio gear. If they enter at an unusually steep angle, the top (or bottom) peaks and throughs will get clipped off or attenuated and you will get jagged or almost square waves in you signal. The resulting SQ will be harsh and grating to the ears. Prolonged usage may damage the speaker coils as well.
